Marquette University announced that it hired the Rev. Daniel Hendrickson as associate vice president in the office of the executive vice president.
Marquette University announced that Octavio "Cas" Castro has been promoted to vice president of Human Resources from assistant vice president and director of Human Resources, effective July 1. Castro will be charged with leading efforts to attract and retain top talent, demonstrate best practices in employee relations, benefits and compensation management, and enhance Marquette's reputation as a top workplace. He will continue to report to Dr. Mary DiStanislao, executive vice president.
Charles (Chuck) M. Swoboda, Eng 89, has been elected chair of the Marquette University Board of Trustees. Swoboda, who is chairman and chief executive officer of Cree Inc., joined Marquette Universitys Board of Trustees in 2004 and served as vice chair from 2011 to 2012. Swoboda will replace Darren R. Jackson, Bus Ad 86, who served his full term as chair of the Board from 2009 to 2012. Jackson will remain on the universitys Board of Trustees.
