The Frozen Food Foundation has selected the University of Nebraska to conduct a global literature search of existing research comparing the nutritional content of frozen and raw fruits and vegetables. Researchers from the University of Nebraska were chosen by the foundation's board of directors at its recent meeting in Washington.

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TNVASU) signed an agreement with US-based University of Nebraska to exchange services in the field of food science and technology. The agreement would facilitate collaborative programmes in various areas, including faculty improvement by exchange of teachers between the Universities in the field of dairy and food sciences related disciplines. The students of TNVASU, including externship training programme to BTech (food processing technology), would also be able to conduct their academic research programmes at the foreign University. Visit by senior faculty of both institutions would strengthen academic and research programmes in the field of food science, the release added.

The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded a contract valued at up to $2.05 million to University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Neb., for professional, administrative and management support services. The contract was awarded by GSA's Federal Supply Service, Management Services Center, Auburn, Wash.
