In addition, the insurer has hired Joseph P. Mallee III, 30, as a management associate and the director of advanced planning at Independence Financial Associates, Penn Mutual's career agency in Conshohocken, Pa., from director of advanced planning. He will serve as the macro manager for advanced-planning cases, coordinating the efforts of attorneys, accountants and trust officers.
Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co. has announced several promotions. C. Bayne Northern was named vice president of annuity distribution. She had been national sales manager of annuity distribution. Marsha Kohl was named vice president of practice management. Kohl had been assistant vice president, sales support operations.
