The Specialty Materials segment supplies chlorinated polyvinylchloride resins and compounds for residential and commercial plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, and industrial piping systems; and thermoplastic polyurethane for coating processes, wire and cable insulation, athletic equipment, medical applications, automotive molded parts, and adhesives in the electronics industry. It also offers reactive liquid polymers for use in aerospace, transportation, and electronics industries, as well as rubber, plastic, and lubricant products. The Performance Coatings segment produces polymers for specialty paper, graphic arts, architectural and industrial coatings, and textile applications; water-based polymer emulsions, resins, and auxiliaries for the production of paints and coatings for wood, paper, metal, concrete, plastic, and textiles surfaces; and ink vehicles and overprint varnishes, as well as consumer product packaging. The company was formerly known as Noveon International, Inc. Lubrizol Advanced Materials International, Inc. was incorporated in 2000 and is based in Cleveland, Ohio.
