University of Calgary Appoints Linda Dalgetty as Vice-President (Finance and Services), Effective July 7, 2014

University of Calgary announced the appointment of Linda Dalgetty as Vice-President (Finance and Services). In her previous role, she was senior vice-president and chief financial officer of Saxon Energy Services, where she was responsible for all of the financial functions of a global organization, including reporting, planning, operational accounting and information technology. In her role as vice-president (finance and services), Linda will be responsible for a large portfolio that includes finance, human resources, information technology, risk, and the office of the internal auditor. She will lead the finance and services team and seek ways to ensure staff are engaged and enabled to produce quality work. Linda was appointed vice-president effective July 7, 2014.

University Of Calgary Appoints Bill Rosehart as Dean of the Schulich School of Engineering

Elizabeth Cannon, president of University Of Calgary announced the appointment of Bill Rosehart as dean of the Schulich School of Engineering Throughout his career, Bill has been deeply committed to teaching and learning - a strength that will serve him well in his role as dean. Bill accepts his role as dean at an exciting time. He will lead the school through the $158 million Schulich Expansion and Renovation Project - a major re-development that will provide educational opportunities for several hundred additional undergraduate and graduate students.

University of Calgary Appoints Bart Becker as Vice-President (Facilities)

University Of Calgary announced the appointment of Bart Becker as Vice-President (Facilities). With 20 years of experience in post-secondary education, municipal projects and engineering consulting Bart joins the university as Vice-President (Facilities). In his most recent role as Associate Vice-President of Facilities and Operations at the University of Alberta, he provided project oversight on major capital and planning projects. Prior to this, Bart held positions as Operations Manager at Stantec Consulting and as Project Director for the City of Edmonton's South LRT Extension Project. In his role as Vice-President (Facilities), Bart will lead the planning, design, building, operations and maintenance of the university's buildings, lands, and infrastructure along with operational responsibility for the Office of Sustainability. Bart was appointed Vice-President effective February 1, 2014.
