yoo has sued The Related Group of Florida and a Mexican affiliate for $708,560 plus interest. Yoo claims in a suit filed in Miami-Dade Circuit Court that it is due payment based on the sale of units at Icon Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Starck continues to work on projects, including condo-hotel SLS Brickell with Miami-based Related and its Chairman and CEO Jorge Perez.

Vizcayans to Appeal Judge's Rejection of $3.1 Million Penalty Against the Related Group Inc

The Vizcayans plan to appeal to the Third District Court of appeals on a circuit court judge's invalidation of the $3.1 million jury verdict against The Related Group Inc. and others for maliciously working to undermine the non-profit's efforts to stop a condo project. The Vizcayans were asking for $1.3 million in court costs from The Related Group Inc., development partner Ocean Land Equities and the city of Miami. A jury instead awarded the group $3.1 million, asserting that the developers including The Related Group Inc., had committed several wrongful acts that included paying millions to neighborhood groups to support the condo project.
