Mehney, a lifelong member of the East Grand Rapids community, has been president of the KMW Group Inc. since 1966. Hank Meijer is co-chairman and CEO of Meijer Inc. Jeffrey S. Padnos joined his family's business, Louis Padnos Iron & Metal Company, in 1979 and became president in 1988. Mary Tuuk is the president of Fifth Third Bank (Western Michigan). Arthur V. Scott is president and CEO of JAAR Inc.
The Board of Trustees of Grand Valley State University named Karen Loth as vice president for development. Mr. Karen has been at GVSU since 2000, most recently serving as interim vice president for development. Loth replaces Maribeth Wardrop, who came to Grand Valley State University in 1999 and retired in January.
