Middle Tennessee State University Names Trisha Murphy as Assistant Director of Annual Giving

Middle Tennessee State University announced that Trisha Murphy has been named assistant director of annual giving at Middle Tennessee State University. Murphy, who assumed her new position this month after serving in an interim role, began working in the MTSU Development and Foundation Office several years ago as a student intern. She went on to serve as a graduate assistant for two years, working mainly with the office's telephone fundraising campaigns, and has served as interim assistant director for the past year.

Middle Tennessee State University Appoints Wajid Choudhry as New Director of IT User Services

Wajid Choudhry, Director of client services at Middle Tennessee State University, has been appointed as the new Director of IT User Services. At Middle Tennessee State, Choudhry is responsible for the day-to-day operations of IT services on a campus of 24,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Reporting to the vice chancellor for information technology and chief information officer, the director of IT Services leads support of technical services for the campus. This includes supervising the IT Help Center, Repair Center and Academic Instructional Media Services. With input from campus constituents, Choudhry will develop and implement strategies to align IT user services with the campus' strategic plan and ever-changing needs.

Middle Tennessee State University Announces Executive Changes at School of Agribusiness and Agriscience

Matthew Wade, a Dickson County native and manager of the Tennessee Livestock Center on the Middle Tennessee State University campus, was recently named the farm laboratory director in the MTSU School of Agribusiness and Agriscience. Wade, 44, replaces Tim Redd, who retired in the spring, but will remain part of the faculty. Wade's first day on the job will be July 29, but already he has been involved in many meetings related to the position. Wade will oversee the farm lab units that include the dairy, crops, dairy processing and beef and swine. Wade has served as Tennessee Livestock Center manager since 2002. His MTSU employment began in September 1995 as livestock center assistant manager.
