The Container Store, Inc. has begun to hire advisers to prepare for a potential initial public offering (IPO), a person briefed on the matter said. Among the firms that the Container Store has hired is JPMorgan Chase, this person added. However, it is still not clear whether Container Store will go forward with a stock sale or how much it would seek in an offering. A spokeswoman for the Container Store declined to comment to the New York Times.
The Container Store, Inc. is planning to launch an initial public offering (IPO), Container Store’s Chief Executive Officer, Kip Tindell told the Wall Street Journal. In an interview, Kip Tindell told the Wall Street Journal that an IPO might be a way to put equity in the hands of some of the company's 6,000 employees.
The Container Store, Inc. announced the addition of three new Vice Presidents. Brooke Minteer has been promoted to Vice President of Buying Logistics and Operations. In her new role as Vice President, Minteer will continue to develop strategies and processes to help streamline tasks and procedures in the Buying Department. Additionally, Minteer will help lead the Online merchandising team for the company's web site. Joe Wilkinson has been named Vice President of New Store & Remodel Process, Store Facilities and Purchasing. In his new role, Wilkinson will be responsible for smooth construction of new stores and any construction related to remodels, refreshes and strategic store initiatives across the 57 stores nationwide. Audrey Robertson has been promoted to Vice President of Cultural Programs, Community Relations and Social Media. She will maintain working with the Conscious Capitalism organization and its various events throughout the year, leveraging this involvement to connect with other members and key influencers. She will also continue to partner with Kip Tindell (Chairman and CEO) as he continues his work with the National Retail Federation as Vice President of the Board. Robertson will also be heightening The Container Store's focus on and commitment to Community Relations, the company's What the company Stand For blog (www.standfor.containerstore.com), as well as the brand's social media efforts.
