Allen L. Leverett, executive vice president and chief generation officer of Wisconsin Energy Corp., has been named chairman of Church Mutual Insurance Co. Leverett succeeds Gerald Whitburn, who concluded a 17-year career with Church Mutual at its annual meeting. In 2001 Whitburn became president and CEO, and he was named chairman in 2005. He retired as president and CEO in 2010.

This unique relationship exemplifies how two organizations can combine their talents, resources and expertise to reduce risk, expedite claim settlements and fight insurance fraud. In its commitment to Church Mutual, G4S will implement a customized SIU solution combined with integrated technologies to deliver unrivaled investigative capabilities and operational efficiencies. To accomplish this, G4S will provide frontline case management through a team of nationwide field investigators, conduct annual fraud awareness training for Church Mutual employees and act as advisors on fraud related matters to maximize claims cost savings. Central to these enhanced capabilities are G4S’ dedicated and highly trained licensed professional investigators. In accordance with the contract, G4S will provide access to its robust reporting suite that will enable Church Mutual to monitor and analyze data across a variety of metrics. The solution provides executives and senior management with an in-depth understanding of the organization’s claims cost savings, and the ability to track which types of claims produce higher savings when investigated. It also provides the ability to monitor performance-based outcomes on suspect claims referred for investigation.

Three present Church Mutual Insurance Company officers have been promoted, and another person has attained officer status as part of restructuring within the 114-year-old insurer of religious organizations. Jim Jordan has been named Senior Vice President — Commercial Lines Business Operations. Jordan joined Church Mutual as Vice President — Sales and Marketing in 2002. He came to the company with an extensive insurance background, having held positions in senior marketing management and claims since entering the industry in 1979. In his expanded role, Jordan will oversee the sales and marketing, underwriting and risk management operations. Cheryl Kryshak has been promoted to Vice President — Underwriting. She joined Church Mutual in 1998 as Senior Underwriter for its long-term care (now senior living) unit. Craig Wessman has been promoted to Vice President — Direct Sales. He joined Church Mutual in 1986 as a Regional Representative in Minnesota. He was promoted to West Central Division Sales Manager in 1990, Regional Direct Sales Manager in 2000 and Assistant Vice President — Sales in 2005.
