Nintendo Claims Another Patent Court Win

Nintendo of America has claimed another patent court fight victory this one at the International Trade Commission involving three companies that claimed the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi systems infringed on a patent. Nintendo said patent-licensing companies Technology Properties Limited LLC, Phoenix Digital Solutions LLC and Patriot Scientific Corporation brought the infringement case to the commission, and were rebuffed. Nintendo's enjoyed patent court wins in 2013, claiming at least four patent court victories.

Nintendo Wins Legal Case Bought by IA Labs

Nintendo of America announced it's been awarded the entire patent portfolio of a company it defeated in a patent-infringement court fight in 2013. The company said that in June, the U.S. Court of Appeals sided with the company in a patent-infringement case brought by IA Labs CA LLC. The Court of Appeals upheld a lower court's ruling, including the payment of $236,000 in lawyer fees.

Norwegian Cruise Line and Nintendo of America Expand Partnership to Bring Wii U Gaming Fun to Ships

Norwegian Cruise Line and Nintendo of America announced that they are expanding their partnership to offer Wii U video game systems and Wii U games fleetwide. As part of the partnership expansion, the line will feature Nintendo's newest video game console in all ships atriums and youth and teen centers. In addition, the new HD Wii U systems will be featured at various competitions and events on board each ship.
