National Association of Broadcasters Appoints Sam Matheny as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Effective on July 15, 2014

The National Association of Broadcasters announced that Sam Matheny, Vice President of Policy and Innovation at Raleigh-based Capitol Broadcasting Co., will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer on July 15, 2014. Matheny comes to NAB with a proven record of leadership in advanced digital technology strategies at Capitol Broadcasting. Matheny is currently a member of the FCC Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council and is a member of the Academy of Digital Television Pioneers.

Rebecca Hanson Joins National Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors

National Association Of Broadcasters appointed Sinclair Broadcast Group's Rebecca Hanson, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Policy to the TV Board of Directors. She fills the seat previously occupied by Dunia Shive and the appointment is effective immediately. Hanson joined Sinclair in January 2014 to develop and oversee the broadcaster's new Washington office dedicated to a broad range of policy and business matters.
