American Trucking Associations announced several promotions of key professionals to the Association's Senior Staff team. These promotions will strengthen ATA and build upon the association's effectiveness in representing the interests of the trucking industry across the country. Effective immediately, Chief Economist and Vice President Bob Costello has been promoted to senior vice president and Elisabeth Barna, vice president of image and outreach advocacy, has been promoted to senior vice president of communications and public affairs. ATA's Controller Rusty Duckworth has been promoted to senior vice president and Controller and Vice President of Human Resources and Operations Kay Perkins has been promoted to senior vice president, human resources and operations.
American Trucking Associations Appoints Christopher Spear as Vice President and Chief of Legislative Affairs

American Trucking Associations appointed Christopher Spear as the association's newest vice president and chief of legislative affairs. Prior to joining ATA, Spear was vice president of emerging markets and government relations for Honeywell, but in his career he was Assistant Labor Secretary during the Bush administration and a professional staffer in the U.S. Senate. As part of ATA's advocacy team, Spear will report to Dave Osiecki, executive vice president of national advocacy. As chief of legislative affairs, Spear will be responsible for advancing ATA's policy priorities in Congress including infrastructure funding, hours-of-service and safety issues.
