Time Reportedly In Talks To Acquire American Express Group Titles

Time Inc. is in late-stage talks to acquire five magazines including "Travel+Leisure," "Departures," "Executive Travel," "Black Ink," and "Food & Wine" from American Express Publishing Corporation, according to a person familiar with the matter. It wasn't clear how much Time would pay for the titles. Time Inc has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, Joe Ripp, who started work during the week ending September 6, 2013. The negotiations precede his arrival, said the person.
