The PGA of America Names Jimmy Terry as General Manager, Effective June 1, 2013

Jimmy Terry whose more than a quarter-century of management experience includes recently serving as PGA Senior General Manager for PGA Tour Golf Course Properties at both TPC San Antonio and TPC Harding Park, has been named the new General Manager at The PGA of America flagship facility, PGA Village. He assumes his new role on June 1, 2013. Terry, will be responsible for managing all programs, sales, marketing and community relations plans to fulfill the mission and objectives of The PGA's only owned-and-operated golf resort destination. Located in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Professional Golfers Association Of America Inc. Announces Executive Appointments

Kevin Ring, who served as both a vice president at IMG Consulting and managing director for IMG's Golf Consulting practice, has been named Chief Marketing Officer for Professional Golfers Association Of America Inc. Ring, who will report directly to PGA Chief Executive Officer Pete Bevacqua, will oversee the Marketing, Creative Resources, Research and Communications Departments. He is charged with developing and managing integrated marketing plans for The PGA that are designed to grow the Association's assets. Christine Garrity, who has served as The PGA's managing director and general counsel since 2006, and has been a staff member of the Association since 1990, was also promoted to the position of Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel. She will oversee the legal, governance, government relations, special events, and diversity and inclusion operations of The PGA. Garrity and Carter will also report to Bevacqua.

Professional Golfers Association Of America Inc. Announces Management Changes

Kerry Haigh has been named as chief championships officer of Professional Golfers Association Of America Inc. Haigh, who joined The PGA in 1989, was most recently the Association's managing director of Championships and Business Development. He will continue to lead the overall operation, administration, golf course set-up and success of the PGA Championship, Ryder Cup, Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid and PGA Grand Slam of Golf. His responsibilities also include the managing of more than 20 PGA Club Professional, amateur and junior tournaments throughout the year. In addition to naming Haigh chief championships officer, The PGA of America promoted Kevin Carter to serve as managing director of Business Development. While serving as its senior director since 2006.
