Quincy University Corporation announced the appointment of Sam Lathrop to the position of safety and security director. Born in Racine, WI, Sam graduated high school and went on to receive his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI. After graduation, Sam was hired by the Beloit, WI Police Department. There he served a 31-year career, working his way through the ranks. The last 6 years of Sam's career with Beloit were served as Police Chief. During his tenure with Beloit, Sam completed his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI. Sam is also a graduate of the 177th Session of the FBI National Academy. After retiring from Beloit, Sam was embedded with the U.S. Army 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, 2-30th Infantry Battalion for 17 months serving as a Law Enforcement Professional. The last year of this assignment was spent deployed in Afghanistan as a trainer for the Afghan National Police as well as U.S. soldiers. Sam took the position of Safety and Security Director at Quincy University in November of 2011.

Quincy University Corporation announced the appointment of Jim Robesky to the position of Director of University Communications. Before coming to QU, Robesky worked as the Content Manager for KHQA News. Jim supervised the news gathering operation for television, web, social media, and he wrote and edited stories.
