American Marketing Association Opens China Office

American Marketing Association Inc. expanded its global presence with the opening on May 30(th) of its first overseas office in Shanghai. The goal of the AMA China office and its staff is to elevate the marketing discipline by bringing training, tools and resources to China that will help marketers to be more competitive, both locally and globally. The global AMA membership will benefit from this new international presence with increased access to and knowledge of the China market. AMA China will receive guidance from AMA International headquarters in Chicago, and will also receive strategic input from the AMA China Advisory Council, which consists of 12 marketing leaders from large multinational corporations and professors from top universities and business schools in China.

Mary Garrett also leads the development and execution of unique marketing and communication strategies encompassing the Smarter Planet agenda, Big Data, cloud computing, social business and other growth plays in support of IBM clients across both mature and emerging markets.
