She joins from Walgreen Co., where she was director of government relations for health and wellness. Prior to Walgreen, Hagan spent four years at the Consumer Healthcare Products Association as national director of state government relations. In her new role at Grocery Manufacturers Association, Hagan will be responsible for managing all state and local policy issues and advocacy activities on behalf of the food, beverage and consumer products industry. She will report to Louis Finkel, Grocery Manufacturers Association’s executive vice president for government affairs.

Grocery Manufacturers Association announced that Jim Flannery has been appointed as Senior Executive Vice President, Operations and Industry Affairs. In his new role, Mr. Flannery will lead the associations Industry Affairs practice and have primary responsibility for developing and implementing collaborative relationships, initiatives and programs with retailers and their trade associations across all retail channels. In addition, Flannery will help the organization identify and implement innovative services and programs that will increase association revenue and enhance the value of GMA membership. Mr. Flannery most recently served as Managing Director, Customer Development, Procter and Gamble (PandG) Global Operations. He will begin his new assignment at the company on July 15, 2013. He will report to the company's President and CEO Pamela G. Bailey, and will serve as a member of the company Senior Leadership Team.
