Airlines for America named Don Dillman to the role of Managing Director of Flight Operations. Dillman joins the company after holding leadership positions in flight operations and operations control at two major U.S. carriers. Most recently, Dillman served as Vice President of Network Operations Control at United Airlines. Dillman also held various management positions, including Managing Director of Flight Operations and Systems Operations Control for American Airlines. At the company, Dillman will represent member carriers on operational issues, including pilot qualification and training and international standards and procedures. He will also serve as one of A4A's primary liaisons with key government agencies, including the FAA, the National Transportation Safety Board and the Transportation Security Administration. Air Transport Association Of America provided operating guidance for the period from June 2013 to August 2013. The company reported more people will fly this summer than a year ago, and a record number of passengers will fly internationally. The company said it expects U.S. airlines will carry close to 209 million passengers globally from June through August, an increase of 1% from the same period in 2012. The system-wide summer estimate includes 27 million international passengers, a record number for U.S. airlines.

Airlines for America announced two promotions in the Safety, Security and Operations Division, naming Paul McGraw as Vice President, Operations and Safety and Laura McKee as Vice President, Airline Services. Both assume their new roles effective May 08, 2013. In his new position, McGraw will oversee A4A's Safety, Operations, Air Traffic Management and Engineering, Maintenance and Materiel departments. McKee joined A4A in 2007, most recently serving as Senior Managing Director, Airline Services. In her new role as Vice President, Airline Services, McKee will oversee A4A's Passenger Services, Passenger Facilitation and Cargo departments and will retain her airport affairs responsibilities.
