Penton's Public Infrastructure Group Adds New Features and Functionality to Govalytics

Penton's Public Infrastructure group announced that new features and functionality have been added to Govalytics, an intelligence tool that offers dynamic data and analytics for city and county governments across the nation. Govalytics offers key dynamic intelligence that identifies opportunities for marketers to win local government business well in advance of the official request for proposal (RFP) process. The Capital Project Data feature of Govalytics is now available. It allows users to search and find capital project information for every city and county government in the database. It also offers project amounts, durations and specific details around each project. The ToDo's feature allow users to establish ToDo action items on specific governments/departments/projects of interest, set due dates for each ToDo item and get one day or one week advance notifications via email. The Alerts feature allow users to set up email alerts on specific items of interest including changes in budgets, staffing changes and new Capital Projects. Govalytics provides users with budgetary analytics, government official contact information, capital project data, key area statistics and recent news surrounding each local government. Govalytics now has data covering the top 50 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs).

Penton Promotes Chris Keating to Vice President and Market Leader of the Restaurant Group

Penton announced that Chris Keating has been promoted from Publisher to Vice President and Market Leader of the Restaurant Group. In this position Keating will be responsible for Nation's Restaurant News (NRN), Restaurant Hospitality, Food Management, and the MUFSO Conference add link. Keating will report to Dan Bagan, Senior Vice President, Penton. Keating spent nearly 20 years at United Business Media in a variety of roles, including as Vice President and Group Publisher of the Business Technology Group. Richard Price, currently Digital Sales Director for the Restaurant Group, will lead the sales team and will report to Keating. Price has 20 years of experience and has worked at various consumer and business-to-business companies in audience development and business development, including as the National Sales Director at Crain Communications.

Bill Freeman to Retire as Publisher of Penton

Penton announced that after an extraordinary 37-year career at Air Transport World, publisher Bill Freeman will retire following 2014 Farnborough Air Show in July 2014. Freeman has been ATW's Publisher for the past 16 years, and has served as Group Publisher - Commercial Aviation at Penton since 2007. In addition to leading ATW, he has led such brands as SpeedNews and the MRO Edition of Aviation Week & Space Technology. Freeman led ATW's successful expansion from a monthly magazine to the leading multichannel brand delivering print, digital, data, event content, and marketing services for the global airline industry. Under his tenure, ATW launched one of Penton's first websites, and the ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards expanded to become the industry's premier competition and gathering of legends and leaders. Freeman will continue his duties at Penton until July 31, 2014 allowing ample time to identify his successor and ensure a smooth transition.
