Sony of Canada Ltd. announced the SRS-X3 and SRS-X2 portable Bluetooth(R) wireless speakers, giving music lovers more options to listen to the tunes they love anytime and anywhere. Both models offer powerful sound and easy connectivity in a sleek design. The compact SRS-X3 provides rich bass with an output power of 20 watts in a sleek "Definitive Outline" design. The geometric "Definitive Outline" design is characterized by sleek lines and smooth surfaces, allowing the wireless speakers to beautifully blend into any indoor or outdoor space while delivering high quality sound. The SRS-X3 consists of two full range speakers and two passive radiators, allowing for rich bass in a compact size. The two passive radiators are located at the front and backside. ClearAudio+(TM), a unique Sony digital signal processing technology, provides higher quality sound while Sound Mode delivers a wider sound stage. Users can wirelessly stream audio with Bluetooth, and connect to mobile devices seamlessly with easy One-Touch listening via Near Field Communications (NFC). With a built-in mic, the speaker can be used as a speakerphone for hands-free calling when paired with a mobile device. The built-in rechargeable battery offers up to seven hours of playback. The SRS-X3 portable wireless speaker comes in black, white and red. The SRS-X2 also has an output power of 20 watts, but in a smaller design with rounded edges. With easy One-touch listening, users can pair NFC-enabled devices and connect via Bluetooth. The SRS-X2 also has speakerphone capability for hands-free calling. The built-in rechargeable battery offers up to five hours of playback. The SRS-X2 portable wireless speaker comes in black, white and red. Both models have a micro USB charge and include a USB AC adapter. The SRS-X3 retails for $149.99 and the SRS-X2 retails for $99.99.

Sony launches the Speedy New a?77 II Interchangeable Lens Camera with 79-Point Autofocus System

Sony launched its new a77 II camera that delivers an impressive combination of speed, versatility and efficiency in a tough, weather-resistant design, making it a perfect choice for fast-action photography and videography. Building on the heritage of Sony’s much-loved original a77 and a700 cameras, the a77 II gives advanced amateurs a string of enhancements including the world’s higher number of AF points in a new phase detect autofocus system1 with 79 focal points and 15 cross points. Utilizing Sony’s unique Translucent Mirror Technology, the a77 II also has the ability to shoot at up to 12 fps for60 total frameswith continuous AF. The speedy new camera is equipped with a high-resolution 24.3 MP image sensor and a powerful BIONZ®X processor, ensuring that still images and full HD videos are captured in sharp focus and incredible detail. Image quality compared to the original a77 has been boosted, and sensitivity has increased by approximately 20% as well. There is also a variety of new pro-friendly video functions for movie makers. Sony of Canada Ltd. announced that it is showcasing its entire line-up of premium High-Resolution Audio products at CES 2014, continuing to provide music enthusiasts with both the best playback quality and convenient access to digital music as the artist originally intended it to be heard. Building on the wide range of Hi-Res Audio product offerings introduced last year, many of these products are being demonstrated for the first time and include Hi-Res capable audio/video receivers, PC audio and home speakers, home theater systems, portable players, speakers and headphones.
