Nokia Solutions and Networks has launched TD-LTE 8-pipe radio module for Band 41 spectrum. The new base station component will enable operators to use the 2.6 GHz LTE TDD spectrum band to meet increasing demand for mobile broadband. Supporting up to 120 MHz of channel bandwidth, this is the higher capacity 8-pipe radio module. It delivers twice as much transmission power output than previous versions, substantially improving the user experience, particularly at the edge of a cell's coverage.
Oi Brasil Selects Nokia Solutions and Networks for Network Infrastructure Services

Oi Brasil has selected Nokia Solutions and Networks to supply the infrastructure for its Long Term Evolution, or LTE, network. In addition to that, the company will also upgrade the operator's GSM and 3G networks across the country. Under the contract, NSN will transform Oi Brasil's network in several regions to a Single RAN (Single Radio Access Network) system based on its Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station for GSM, 3G and LTE. As part of the core network, the company will provide its Liquid Core based Evolved Packet Core (EPC) platform. In addition, the company will also deploy its Subscriber Data Management Platform (SDM) including New Technology Home Location Register (NT-HLR) and One-NDS subscriber data management system for a centralized database repository independent of the application used.
BH Telecom Signs Home Location Register System Upgrade Deal with Nokia Siemens Networks Sarajevo

BH Telecom announced that it signed a deal with Nokia Solutions and Networks and its local arm, Nokia Siemens Networks Sarajevo, for the upgrade of the telco's home location register (HLR) system and the addition of new functions. The upgrade will enable the introduction of new services, such as M2M communications, cloud services and mobile advertising. It will also enable the expansion of the capacity of BH Telecom’s mobile client base to 2.6 million. The contract also foresees the procurement of spare parts for the 220 existing base stations, aimed at minimizing the potential failures of the carrier’s 2G and 3G networks.
