American Chemistry Council, Inc. reported production and sales results for the months and year to date ended June 2014. For the month, the company reported U.S. production of major plastic resins totaled £6.3 billion during June 2014, an increase of 1.3% compared to the same month in 2013. Year-to-date production was £37.5 billion a 1.3% decrease as compared to the same period in 2013. Sales and captive (internal) use of major plastic resins totaled £6.5 billion during June 2014, an increase of 3.9% compared to the same month one year earlier. Year-to-date sales and captive use was £37.4 billion, a 1.1% decrease as compared to the same period in 2013.
