The National Restaurant Association announced it is partnering with eHealth, Inc. to offer tools and resources to industry employees looking to find health insurance coverage. Through partnership with eHealth, the National Restaurant Association is providing resources that will help members address benefit concerns and options for all employees, including those who are eligible for employer-sponsored coverage and those who are not. Through this new partnership, NRA members will have access to a co-branded eHealth health insurance shopping experience. eHealth offers personalised quotes from brand-name insurance plans as well as plan comparisons, consumer decision-support tools, and access to licensed agents at no additional cost to health insurance shoppers. eHealth offers many of the same health insurance products at the same price as government health insurance exchanges, as well as access to ACA-compliant health insurance plans not available through government exchanges. eHealths service can help restaurateurs educate and inform employees about ACA requirements, including the individual mandate.

The National Restaurant Association announced the appointment of Sherman Brown as senior vice president of business and financial strategy for its ServSafe Food Safety Program. In his role as Senior Vice President, Brown will oversee the strategic direction, financial management, and daily operations of the product and services business for ServSafe. He will be accountable for protecting and growing the ServSafe brand and the oversight of training, education and testing solutions. Previously, Brown served as the NRAs vice president of finance and strategy where he was responsible for the management and direction of strategic business and financial analysis.
