Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. announced reorganization of the company's U.S. management team. The company announced the forthcoming retirement of Ron Johnson, who has served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales - Broad Acres for nearly 10 years. Johnson, who has been with the company for more than two decades, will officially retire during the fourth quarter of 2013 and will assist with transitional matters until then. In connection with Johnson's pending retirement, Russell Sides has accepted the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for all the company’s fertilizers sold in the U.S. and Canada effective immediately. In this new role, Sides will be responsible for leading all sales and marketing strategy including brand development. He has been a part of the company team for more than eight years and has served in several roles, including his most recent position as Director of Supply Chain. Prior to joining the company, Sides served in sales and management positions with other agricultural and industrial companies for more than 20 years. Rick Letterman has accepted the role of Vice President of Product Development and Business Administration effective immediately. Rick has been a part of the company team for more than 22 years and has served in roles including his most recent position as Vice President of Specialty Agricultural Products. In their new roles, Sides and Letterman will report to Larry Tryon, Group Vice President, North America Fertilizers.
Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. announced unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and year to date ended September 2012. For the quarter, the company reported revenue was €69.8 million against €56.5 million a year ago. REBITDA was €16.3 million against €13.2 million a year ago. REBITA was €13 million against €10.9 million a year ago. For the year to date, the company reported revenue was €261.4 million against €213.6 million a year ago. REBITDA was €68.5 million against €54.8 million a year ago. REBITA was €59.1 million against €48 million a year ago.
Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. will construct a production facility at Hanford, California (US) and, at the same time, optimize its Fresno, California facility. Both plants will produce thiosulfate fertilizers. The extra production capacity, available in the second half of 2014. The thiosulfate products KTS (potassium thiosulfate solution) and CaTs (calcium thiosulfate solution) are sulfur-based liquid specialty fertilizers that can be applied to a wide variety of crops such as grapes, nuts and vegetables. The new Hanford facility and optimized Fresno plant are in line with Tessenderlo Group`s intentions to develop its core businesses in agriculture.
