Univar Inc. announced the appointment of Marco Antonio Quirino as its new president of Univar Brazil. Quirino will manage the company's Brazil business and operations and will report directly to its President and Chief Executive Officer Erik Fyrwald. Quirno's appointment marks the company's continued focus on growth in South America. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the chemical industry and has extensive knowledge of the Brazilian market. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving growth and managing operations and partner relationships across its key industries including polyurethanes, personal care, food, agrochemicals, coatings, and oilfield services. Quirino replaces Interim President Normand Goyer whom he will work with to transition over the coming weeks. Prior to joining the company Quirino worked with Braskem.
