BRP Introduces New Outboard Engine

BRP revealed a new outboard engine that produces up to 75% fewer total regulated emissions, with 15% better fuel efficiency and 20% more torque than four-stroke engines: G2 engines, the next generation of Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines. The Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboard engine delivers unrivaled performance with torque and fuel efficiency and lower total emissions. Available this fall at BRP dealers in ranges starting at 200 H.O. to 300R.A.V.E., the new E-TEC G2 engine offers the first and only customizable look, the only clean rigging and fully integrated digital controls. These innovations now allow consumers to choose the absolute perfect combination of boat and engine by selecting top and front panels, as well as accent colors that match users boat.

BRP and Smooth Marine Equipment Ltd to Pursue Together the Growth of BRP's Business in China Through Joint Venture Structure

BRP and Smooth Marine Equipment Ltd. will pursue together the growth of BRP's business in China through a joint venture structure. The investment will further strengthen BRP's presence and commitment to the Chinese market and provide opportunities to accelerate dealer expansion. As part of the agreement, BRP will have a majority ownership stake in the new company. The agreement will become effective in early 2015.
