Silver Point Capital L.P. has expressed interest in buying all or part of the Hostess Brands, Inc. business, reported New York Post citing sources. The source added that Silver Point Capital, in the last few days, submitted a letter to Hostess’ bankers expressing interest in buying all or part of the Hostess business. The source added, "What’s more, Hurst Capital, LLLP, a newcomer that wasn’t seen as much of a contender initially, has formed a partnership with other private-equity firms to make an offer." Also, Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. de C.V. is understood to still have interest in acquiring the business. The deadline for submitting the offer is March 10, 2013.
