Participant Media Appoints Ann Boyd as EVP of Communications

Ann Boyd has joined Participant Media as evp of communications, reporting directly to CEO Jim Berk. In the newly created position Boyd will be responsible for overseeing the communications strategy and operations across Participant's media portfolio, including its film and documentary division, new television network Pivot and digital lifestyle brand TakePart. She most recently served as evp of global communications at Sony Pictures Entertainment and was a studio representative on the Motion Picture Association and Creative America Coalition.

Participant Media Promotes Karina Kogan to Senior Vice President, Digital

Participant Media announced that Karina Kogan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Digital for Participant Media. Kogan will now oversee all digital operations for Participant. The company has named Scott Roesch, Senior Vice President, TakePart.com; Eve Epstein, Vice President, Programming; Paul Tullis, Features Editor; Shaya Tayefe Mohajer, News Editor; and Lauren Wade, Senior Photo Editor. Epstein previously spent 10 years at DailyCandy rising to editor-in-chief of the digital publisher.

Participant Media Names Lynn Heymont as Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Lynn Heymont has been appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Participant Media, who will report to Jim Berk, will be responsible for the direction and administration of human resource strategy for Participant Media, including the film group, its digital division TakePart and its new TV channel, Pivot, which launches August 1st. Lynn has held a number of senior Human Resources leadership roles in the entertainment industry, including at CBS, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and most recently, Deluxe Entertainment Services Group where she was the Executive Vice President, Human Resources -- North America. In that role she was a pivotal member of the due diligence team that was responsible for the rapid succession of strategic acquisitions which doubled the size of the company and its digital footprint.
