Veolia Eau-Compagnie Générale des Eaux announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply drinking water in the municipality of Montauban, southwestern France. The contract, valid for nine years, will generate total revenue of EUR 46 million (USD 61.6 million) for Veolia, which will equip customers with remote water meter reading devices. The agreement envisages also specific performance standards, such as the reduction of water leaks.
