United Arab Shipping Company Opens Metro Atlanta Headquarters

United Arab Shipping Company (S.A.G.) is planning to develop its North American headquarters in the metro Atlanta area. Gov. Nathan Deal announced that the United Arab Shipping Company will establish its North American headquarters in Peachtree Corners and is expected to create 160 new jobs. The company will occupy a 50,000 square-foot facility housing its shipping logistics, accounting, finance and customer service operations along with an executive management team.

United Arab Shipping Company to Build Container Terminal at Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Co

United Arab Shipping Company has agreed with Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Co to construct a second terminal at Port Said in the northeast part of the country. The parties have sealed a memorandum of understanding for the project, which will require investment of AED 2.5 billion (USD 681 million/EUR 503 million). The facility will be constructed by a special-purpose company, with 75% of the investment to be covered by Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Co's Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport. The new container terminal is expected to have a capacity of 3 million TEU per year. During the construction phase, between 8,000 and 10,000 workers will be employed.

United Arab Shipping Company Closes USD 1,251 Million Multi-Tranche Syndicated Loan Facility

United Arab Shipping Company has closed a USD 1,251 million multi-tranche syndicated loan facility to finance a twenty foot equivalent unit container ships and 5 x 18,000 TEU container ships. The new facility is part of a bigger debt-financing plan worth USD 1,744 million. The USD 1,744 million plan will be financed by Deutsche Bank AG.
