Former BAG Network CEO RK Arora has joined ITV Network Ltd. as CEO for its broadcasting initiatives. Arora will be responsible for business operations of Hindi news channel India News, five regional channels and NewsX. The broadcasting company had recently made its foray into English News with the acquisition of NewsX. He will also be leading the group's expansion plans and provide the vision and strategic leadership for all aspects of the business. Arora comes with an experience spanning over 20 years. At BAG Network he was leading business operations of broadcasting initiatives; News24, E24 and Darshan 24. He was also associated with Independent News Service since its inception which launched India TV in 2004.

Further to the announcement of April 27, 2011 confirming the cessation of legal actions and the establishment of a settlement agreement between STV Group plc and ITV plc and ITV Network Ltd., STV confirms that the balance of the settlement agreement of £10.8 million will be paid in cash over the next 18 months. This will be made in 18 equal monthly installments of £600,000 from 3 January 2012 until June 2013 and will be made from STV's existing bank facility and the new facility which is currently being finalized. This payment will be offset in part by opt-out programme savings across future periods.
