Rohde & Schwarz Unveils R&S RTO-K24 Compliance Test Software
Jul 3 14
Rohde & Schwarz has unveiled the R&S RTO-K24, a new compliance test software option for the R&S RTO oscilloscope. The company has expanded the application field of the R&S RTO oscilloscopes to include the testing of automotive Ethernet interfaces. In line with the OPEN Alliance test specification, the new R&S RTO-K24 compliance test software enables users to perform automated tests on BroadR Reach Ethernet interfaces. BroadR Reach technology makes it possible to combine multiple applications such as video streaming from rear view cameras and signal transmission from automotive radar systems to create a single, open and scalable Ethernet network inside the vehicle. The R&S RTO features an outstanding dynamic range of more than seven effective bits (ENOB) and delivers reliable results even during standard-specified interference tests. Users can reliably test their products during type testing and in production. The signal quality of the BroadR-Reach Ethernet interfaces can be verified using output drop tests, for example, allowing users to test the signal characteristics of the BroadR-Reach telegram. The R&S RTO-K24 compliance test software includes image-based instructions, which provide step-by-step support during measurements. Configurations are created automatically, and results are documented in a straightforward test report.

Rohde & Schwarz Releases R&S ZNBT New Network Analyzer
May 9 14
Rohde & Schwarz has released the R&S ZNBT, a network analyzer with 24 integrated test ports. The instrument allows users to characterize devices under test with multiple test ports and enables production lines to maintain high throughput by measuring multiple DUTs in parallel. The R&S ZNBT also offers the high RF performance of a two-port network analyzer at each of its test ports. Rohde & Schwarz has added the R&S ZNBT to its portfolio of multiport network analysis solutions. The instrument covers the frequency range from 9 kHz to 8.5 GHz, and the base model is equipped with four test ports. Depending on application requirements, the analyzer can be enhanced to include 24 ports. The R&S ZNBT is primarily used in the development and production of active and passive multiport components such as frontend modules for multiband mobile phones. When fitted with its maximum number of test ports, the R&S ZNBT is capable of determining all 576 S-parameters of a 24-port DUT. It requires no switching, and therefore carries out multiport measurements faster than switch matrix-based multiport systems.
