NTUC FairPrice Co-operative Ltd Announces Departure of Ng Ser Miang as Chairman

NTUC FairPrice Co-operative Ltd, or FairPrice, has announced the departure of Ng Ser Miang as chairman of the board. Ng was appointed as chairman in September 2005. Bobby Chin, current board member of NTUC FairPrice, was consequently elected chairman of the board. Bobby Chin joined the board in February 2013. He was the former managing partner of accounting firm, KPMG Singapore. He is not new to the labour movement as he sits on the Board of Singapore Labour Foundation and is the deputy chairman of NTUC Enterprise. Bobby Chin also serves as a member of the Council of Presidential Advisors.

NTUC FairPrice Elects BOBBY Chin as Chairman

BOBBY Chin was elected chairman of NTUC FairPrice at its 32nd annual general meeting. He replaces Ng Ser Miang, who has retired from the board following a nine-year term. Mr. Chin, who joined the board in February last year, is not new to the labour movement. He is a board member of the Singapore Labour Foundation and the deputy chairman of NTUC Enterprise. He is also a member of the Council of Presidential Advisors. Professionally, he was an accountant - until he retired in September 2005, he was KPMG Singapore's managing partner.
