With the introduction of VIDAA, a stunningly simple, elegant, yet immensely powerful User Interface (UI) for Smart TV, Hisense Company, Ltd. is providing easy, intuitive operation of advanced Smart TV features and functionality. VIDAA simplifies and enhances a passive, lean-back consumer experience with a new simplified remote control, intuitive channel surfing and four distinct content "silos" that make it easier for the entire household to access desired content. VIDAA TV is an interface designed and engineered by Jamdeo. Although initially launching in China, all indications point to a first quarter of 2014 North America launch for VIDAA TV.
Stream TV Networks, Inc. announced a technology partnership with Hisense Company, Ltd. for a range of televisions and other products featuring Ultra-D(TM) (3D without glasses) technology. The first product to market will be a 42-inch 1080p auto stereoscopic 3D display with plans for additional 3D without glasses displays, smart televisions, tablets and smartphones incorporating the Ultra-D(TM) technology. Ultra-D(TM) televisions will be bundled with the SeeCube(TM) auto converter. The SeeCube(TM) Conversion Box seamlessly autoconverts 2D and 3D stereoscopic (with glasses) into auto stereoscopic (glasses-free) 3D format in real-time. Ultra-D(TM) supports nearly every kind of video feed including Cable & Satellite TV Channels, Blu-ray(TM), XBOX(R), PS3(R) and sites like Netflix(R), Hulu(R) and YouTube(R). The Ultra-D(TM) technology can convert content from iPad(R), iTunes(R), Appstore(R) and Apple TV(R).
Broadcom Corp. announced collaboration with Hisense. As part of this joint initiative, Broadcom and Hisense will design and develop Wi-Fi enabled consumer electronics for the Chinese market, including Hisense's first Smart TV. The market for Internet TVs worldwide continues to grow substantially, with an estimated 153% growth in 2011 alone, according to Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC), Taiwan. As consumers turn to their TVs for access to the Internet, there's an increased demand for simplified connectivity between the TV and all their Wi-Fi enabled devices. By incorporating Broadcom's leading Wi-Fi technology into Hisense's new Smart TV, consumers are able to seamlessly transfer data or videos between their TVs and other mobile devices, stream services from the Internet, and download innovative applications for entertainment, business or personal needs.
