Merlin Entertainments Group Ltd. seeks to divest at least a fifth of its shares in order to raise £200 million. Merlin stated that KIRKBI A/S will also divest some of its holding. The company added that the sale would include an offering to individual retail investors as well as institutional investors.

Merlin Entertainments Group Ltd. is seeking to launch an initial public offering (IPO) in London in 2013, people with knowledge of the talks said. The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX), CVC Capital Partners Limited and Kirkbi A/S decided in June 2013 to proceed with an IPO in London after talks with Merlin's managers, said the people, who asked not be identified because the talks are private. Merlin may sell shares to the public in the first quarter of 2014 in an IPO that may value at more than £3 billion. Barclays Plc, Citigroup Inc., Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. have been hired to manage the offering, the people added.
