Tiffany & Co. Japan Inc. announced unaudited sales results for the fourth quarter and full year ended January 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported that sales increased 12% to $204 million. On a constant-exchange-rate basis, total sales in Japan rose 5% and comparable store sales increased 4%. For the year, the company reported that sales rose 13% to $617 million. On a constant-exchange-rate basis, total sales in Japan rose 3% and comparable store sales increased 4%.

Tiffany & Co. announced the appointment of Stephane Lafay to the newly-created position of Group Vice President - Asia-Pacific Region and President - Tiffany & Co. Japan Inc. Lafay has been with Tiffany since 2009, as President of Tiffany's Japan organization. The company said it is searching for a Managing Director of Japan who will report to Lafay.
