The Manchester Airport Group PLC Announces Executive Changes

Lynda Shillaw has been appointed by Manchester Airports Group as divisional chief executive for property. She joins from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. As revealed by Estates Gazette, the post has been vacant since Karen Campbell resigned from the role just eight months after joining, and just days after a controversial deal with Beijing Construction and Engineering group was signed. Shillaw, who was director of real estate at SWIP, will join MAG from 1 June 2014. She will report to group chief executive Charlie Cornish, overseeing the group's £571 million property division across four airport facilities, most notably the £800 million Airport City development.

Monarch Announces Five-Year Deal with East Midlands Airport

Monarch has announced a new five year commercial agreement with the north Leicestershire airport's operator, Manchester Airports Group. Management announced they hope the operation would grow as it improves the quality of its service.

The Manchester Airport Group PLC to Form Joint Venture with Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Carillion plc and Greater Manchester Pension Fund

The Manchester Airports Group plc has signed a joint venture agreement with Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Carillion plc and Greater Manchester Pension Fund for the development of GBP 800 million Airport City project at Manchester Airport. Under the terms of the agreement, Carillion expects to invest up to GBP 12 million of equity in the development, as well as delivering up to GBP 580 million of construction work.
