For the period, the company reported that total sales grew by 8.9% to £273 million, despite the challenging smaller tradesman market, benefiting from the continued rollout of new outlets, the success of 'click, pay & collect' and the more recent introduction of a mobile 'click, pay & collect' offer. Retail profit was up 19.1% to £20 million, reflecting the strong sales growth, gross margins benefiting from more direct sourcing, distribution efficiencies and continued tight cost control.
The company also reported that around 30 new outlets are planned for second half of 2012.
