Putrajaya Court of Appeal Civil Appeal No. A-02(IM)(NCVC)-786-04/2013 (Ipoh High Court Suit No. 22NCVC-193-08/2012). BOUSTEAD HOLDINGS BERHAD announced its subsidiary company, Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. has received an amended Letter of Acceptance dated September 27, 2013 from the Ministry of Defence Malaysia for the contract to design, construct, equip, test and deliver six units of Second-Generation Patrol Vessels With Combatant Capabilities (Littoral Combatant Ships, LCS) for the Royal Malaysian Navy. The Ministry of Defence Malaysia, in the Amended LOA has confirmed the following: The value of the Contract has been fixed at MYR 9.0 billion; The Contract period is 10 years, effective from December 29, 2011 to December 28, 2021; and Further advance payment of MYR 700 million will be paid in stages to BN Shipyard. The contract will have no material effect on the earnings of the company for the financial year ending December 31, 2013 but will contribute positively to the future earnings of the BHB Group.
