Vimpelcom Launches LTE in Moscow Region

Vimpelcom has launched its LTE network in the Moscow region. LTE services are now available in the cities of Zelenogradsk, Lyubertsy, Podolsk and Khimki. The operating is now planning the launch of LTE networks soon in Krasnogorsk, Balashikha, Mytishchi and in other agglomerations. Services are being provided over the 2,600 MHz band, with an average capacity of 10-40 Mbps and speeds of up to 73 Mbps.

Vimpelcom Expands Payments Services in Russia

Vimpelcom can now pay back bank loans at 1,200 of the operator's branded outlets across the country. The service was introduced in cooperation with the Zolotaya Korona payment system. Money transfers within Russia and CIS states are also possible at Beeline shops. The service is also available for subscribers of other operators. Transfers within Russia carry a commission fee of 1.5%, while transfers to CIS states, Georgia and Abkhasia have a fee of 2%.

Vimpelcom Launches LTE Network in Barnaul

Vimpelcom has launched its LTE network in Barnaul. The network provides average download speeds of 20-30 Mbps in the city, with a maximum data capacity of 73 Mbps. Services are now accessible in 70% of the city's area, as well as in some surrounding villages and at Barnaul international airport.
