Calgary Scientific Inc. and Siemens Healthcare Partner to Roll Out Enterprise Viewing Solution at Intermountain Healthcare
Oct 16 13
Calgary Scientific Inc. announced that in partnership with Siemens Healthcare, they have begun rolling out ResolutionMD(TM) at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. ResolutionMD was successfully integrated with the proprietary Intermountain EMR, as well as 9 data archive instances comprised of 7 PACS and 2 VNAs from a number of different vendors. When full rollout is completed, Intermountain will have one integrated enterprise viewer that leverages their current architecture and creates a virtual database system that eliminates the need to copy or move data across the archives.

The FDA cleared, Health Canada licensed and CE marked solution never transfers highly sensitive data to the device, as is the case with other mobile medical diagnosis software. Calgary Scientific Inc.'s ResolutionmMD Received FDA Clearance for Diagnostic Medical Image Viewing on Android Devices
Apr 9 13
Calgary Scientific Inc. received clearance from the United States (US) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for their industry solution, ResolutionMD(TM) software, to diagnose medical images on Android devices. This FDA clearance gives practitioners the flexibility to make an accurate diagnosis quicker than ever, using the extremely popular Android platform. ResolutionMD is a revolutionary imaging solution that is transforming the medical industry, making it possible for doctors to securely view patient images from a wide array of computers and mobile devices, collaborate with other practitioners and produce high quality medical diagnosis from any location in real time. Highly sensitive patient information is never transferred or retained on the device, as is the case with other mobile device imaging software. A Mayo Clinic 2012 study showed that radiologists using ResolutionMD Mobile versus a traditional PACS workstation were able to access CT scans of stroke victims 24% faster saving an average of eleven minutes per patient. This is very significant with stroke diagnosis as every second counts in making a difference toward patient recovery.
