Betsy Kinsley has been hired as the new chief of staff for California Polytechnic State University's president's office. Her appointment is effective July 11, 2011. She succeeds Dan Howard-Greene, who retired as chief of staff in December 2010. Kinsley's background includes serving as a chief of staff to the San Diego City Council president, as a legislative aide and law clerk to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, and as a community volunteer for sustainable community initiatives.
