Together, the companies will work to link athenahealth's growing network of about 40,000 health care providers with the more than eight million consumers who have turned to iTriage to learn more about medical problems and find nearby treatment. Recognized as one of the top mobile health care apps, iTriage goes beyond clinical investigation for the consumer by aligning patients' medical needs with relevant information and access to appropriate and available care. iTriage gives consumers a tool to research symptoms, explore causes, locate a nearby provider, and book an appointment. By partnering with iTriage, athenahealth providers will be able to link their schedules to prospective patients who are looking for related care services via the iTriage app or web platform.

As a free resource to the community, iTriage lets users find critical facility information like services provided, specialties, hours and directions. iTriage also lets users do the following: Search medical symptoms and conditions; Lean about possible causes and treatment options; Get medication refill and appointment reminders added to personal calendars; Access a nationwide database of every medical provider in the country.
