University of Tasmania is opening a $4.6 million analytical research centre. The centre is a joint project of the university and pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, to facilitate collaborative research between the State's top chemists, and leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. Professor Paul Haddad will head the centre.
University of Tasmania opened a $650,000 Wellness Centre at its Cradle Coast campus in Burnie. The centre is designed to promote a more holistic approach to health. The facilities include table tennis, air hockey and a social area to relax.
