Texas Biomedical Research Institute Appoints Lloyd Phinney as New Assistant Director of Veterinary Resources and Research

A veterinarian with extensive experience at various Defense Department biomedical laboratories has been appointed to a leadership position at Texas Biomedical Research Institute's primate research center. Lloyd Phinney Jr. is the new assistant director of veterinary resources and research support at the institute's Southwest National Primate Research Center in San Antonio. He will supervise the site's veterinary staff and help manage all veterinary resources and research support activities. He previously served as a veterinary corps officer, providing expertise as a laboratory animal medicine veterinarian at five Defense Department biomedical labs in Thailand, Maryland and Texas.

Texas Biomedical Research Institute Launches Expansion with $30 Million Earl Slick Research Building

Construction is under way on the latest capital project on the Texas Biomedical Research Institute campus in San Antonio, Texas. The $30 million Earl Slick Biomedical Research Building is just the first phase of the Institute's 25-year master plan for its 200-acre, 500,000-square-foot campus.
