Nuclear Energy Institute Elects Greg Ashley to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee

The president of Bechtel's nuclear business line, Greg Ashley, has been elected to the Nuclear Energy Institute's Board of Directors and executive committee, which sets broad policy for the industry. The Institute's mission is to promote the beneficial uses of nuclear energy and technologies in the United States and around the world. Bechtel has been an active member of NEI since its inception in 1994. The company's technical specialists and nuclear experts help shape policy for eight NEI Task Forces, including Seismic, Control Room Habitability, Combined Operating Licenses, Emergency Preparedness, Early Site Permit, New Plant Security, Small Modular Reactor Security, and Small Modular Reactor Licensing. Bechtel has served the nuclear power market for more than 60 years, providing nuclear design, construction, and operating plant support for more than 150 nuclear power plants worldwide.

Nuclear Energy Institute Appoints Board of Directors

Nuclear Energy Institute has elected Jeffrey J. Lyash, president of CBandIs power unit, to its board of directors. Maria Korsnick, president of the Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, joined the NEI board of directors, replacing Brew Barron, who is retiring from the company. Lyash and Lynn J. Good, president and chief executive officer of Duke Energy Corp., were elected to the NEI executive committee. The elections took place this week during a NEI board of directors meeting.
