BAE Systems, Inc. has named Frank Ruggiero senior vice president of Government Relations, effective April 15, 2013. Ruggiero will succeed Erin Moseley, who became president of BAE Systems' Support Solutions sector in February. In his new role, Ruggiero will assume responsibility of all government relations activities for the company, overseeing BAE Systems, Inc.'s relationships with members of Congress, the Department of Defense and other Cabinet-level organizations, and state government leaders. Ruggiero joined BAE Systems, Inc. in 2012 as vice president for International Government Relations. Before joining the company, Ruggiero spent more than 20 years in service to the U.S. government, most recently as senior deputy special representative and deputy assistant secretary of state for Afghanistan and Pakistan for then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Prior to that, he was the senior U.S. official in Southern Afghanistan during President Obama's surge of military forces in Afghanistan and oversaw U.S. arms sales as acting secretary of state and principal deputy assistant secretary of state for political military affairs. He also served in the Ohio Army National Guard for six years.

BAE Systems, Inc. announced that Erin Moseley, senior vice president of Government Relations, has been appointed president of the company's Support Solutions sector, effective immediately. Moseley succeeds David Herr, who was named executive vice president, Service Sectors, on Feb. 7. As the president of Support Solutions, Moseley will work to improve agility, leverage the company's extraordinary employees and capabilities, and maximize its cost-competitiveness to meet customers' needs for affordable products and services. Previously, Moseley was president of Principled Strategies. Frank Ruggiero, vice president of international Government Relations, will serve as the acting senior vice president of Government Relations until a successor is named.

BAE Systems, Inc. announced that David Herr, president of the company's Support Solutions sector, will become executive vice president, Service Sectors, effective from February 07, 2013. Herr, who succeeds Lawrence Prior, will lead the development and implementation of integrated business strategies to support the Service Sectors, which consist of Intelligence and Security and Support Solutions.
