Uralkaliy to Use Telecommunications Services from Megafon

Megafon has concluded a contract with Uralkaliy. Over 1,000 staff of the company will use telecommunications services from the operator. Megafon has leased fibre lines to the company to interconnect remote units in Solikamsk and Berezniki. The capacity of the lines totals up to 10 Gbps. Staff will be able to access data transmission and fixed telephony services using the network.

Megafon Continues 3G Network Expansion in Vladimir

Megafon has expanded and upgraded its 3G network in the Vladimir region between the beginning of December 2013 and the end of February of 2014. The coverage and capacity of the network were raised in the city of Vladimir and in six municipal centres. New 3G nase stations were deployed in Kovrov and Gus-Khrustalny, and coverage has been expanded in Murom. The operator currently runs over 320 3G base stations in the region, and the average broadband speed is 4.6 Mbps there.
