FIRST has announced the appointment of Don Bossi as President of FIRST, effective May 22.
United States Foundation For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology announced the appointment of two long-time FIRST supporters, Sheri McCoy and Bob Tuttle, as Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors for the international organization. They succeed Mr. Walt Havenstein, whose term has ended after three years of notable service. Ms. McCoy is the Chief Executive Officer of Avon Products Tuttle is a General Partner of 1848 Associates, a commercial real estate development partnership, and the Executive Vice President of DEKA Research & Development Corporation.
United States Foundation For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology announced the appointment of Mark Giordono as Vice President of Development. He will lead the international not-for-profit's efforts in establishing strategy and implementation for Sponsor stewardship and new shared-value partner development. Giordono, who will report to Interim FIRST President, Bob Tuttle, is joining FIRST from Hewlett-Packard where he secured partnerships and managed a new business incubation and innovation funnel segment. Prior to joining Hewlett-Packard, Giordono worked for technology startups in Vermont and New Jersey, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali. Most recently, at Hewlett-Packard, he started partner-driven new businesses for the company's printer division.
